Cold Uneasy Blues

Uneasy, some unknown is worrying me
I can’t put my finger on it, what can it be
Uneasy, my angles just aren’t right
I’ve got those Cold Uneasy Blues tonight
I felt odd this morning, though I cannot tell you why.
A yellow haze hung in the air
It was a little too chilly for mid-July.
I went to the G&M to grab a bite to eat
And Cold Uneasy Blues lay at my feet.
CHORUS:
Time rolls by so fast, already halfway through the year
I tried to catch up with a friend, a busy signal buzzed in my ear
I’m in a downhill race and note as tires squeal
It’s Cold Uneasy Blues behind the wheel.
CHORUS:
The old desk has a locked drawer and I’ve mislaid the key.
Could there be some answers there, or my lost sense of irony
Weary of deception, to confusion I’m resigned.
As Cold Uneasy Blues stands close behind.
