A talented singer and gifted songwriter, Karen Poston fronts the Crystal Pistols. Karen's first CD, Real Bad, was released July of 2001. Among the 12 tracks is her poignant ballad, Lydia, which also has been released as a single by  Slaid Cleaves. 

The CD was produced by Jim Stringer for The Music Room. Crystal Pistol sidemen for this recording include Brad Fordham, Terry Kirkendall, Gurf Morlix, Boomer Norman, and Ted Roddy. Karen duets with Slaid Cleaves, Kelly Willis, and Roger Wallace.
